A Weekend in the Countryside

Sometimes living in the city can get a little hectic. And the best way to escape? Is to hit the countryside for the weekend.

I would love to boast about my little cottage in the country that I visit on my weekends, but who needs to when you have parents there!!

I trekked back down from London on the Friday night to Suffolk. To the little house in the country. I was practically raised in Essex but after my brother and I flew the nest my mum decided to up and move further into the country where they get no phone signal and its a millions miles away from any shops.. But it is truly beautiful.

Sundays are usually meant for walks, with hot tea and cake after. And this Sunday was no different.

Apart from the weather being miserable and it blowing a gail force, the dogs managed to lighten our mood.

Teddy our younger Westie has a serious case of little man syndrome. He always has to stride out ahead of Bertie to show him whose boss.

A walk with these two is never boring though. But ridiculously hard to photograph because neither of them will stay still.

After an hour we were tired, cold and wet. We headed back to rest our tired paws.

After a long day of carrying that fur coat around and chasing pigeons, its no wonder they were warn out. And the perfect time for a snuggle.

As everyone settled down to a bit of TV and cuddle time, it was chance to reflect on another hectic weekend. Where does the time go?

Into another week and beginning my count down for travelling. AHHH!! All getting very exciting now but also very very nervous.

Before you know it it will be here and i’ll be jetting off for two months. But in the mean time you have to appreciate the little things.

Like tucking these two into bed.
